Professor Livio de Santoli, new BES President
The Balkan Energy School (BES) announces the appointment of Professor Livio de Santoli, Member of the Board of ARERA, as President of the Association.
This appointment represents an important development for the Association and supports the continued advancement of its institutional mission in promoting dialogue, cooperation, and knowledge exchange in the energy sector across the Western Balkans. Through its educational and capacity-building activities, BES aims to strengthen regional expertise, foster collaboration among institutions, and contribute to the development of sustainable and resilient energy systems.
Professor de Santoli brings to this role extensive academic, institutional, and professional experience in the fields of energy policy, energy efficiency, and sustainability.
The appointment of Professor de Santoli as President is expected to support the further consolidation of BES activities, including the organization of training programs, expert workshops, and regional cooperation initiatives aimed at strengthening energy governance and knowledge exchange in the Balkans.
