Call for proposals: Study on the Current and Future Development of the Gas Market in the Western Balkans
The Balkan Energy School (BES) has launched a Call for Proposals for the preparation of a study on the current and future development of the natural gas market in the Western Balkans.
The study will provide a comprehensive, evidence-based assessment of market structure, key risks and structural challenges, regulatory and institutional frameworks, and regional integration and infrastructure development, including interconnectors, LNG access, and transit corridors. It will also develop forward-looking scenarios for gas market evolution up to 2030/2040, based on relevant national and international sources such as the Energy Community, ENTSOG, IEA, and the European Commission.
In addition, the study will include key indicators for monitoring market development, an analytical framework for interpreting market dynamics, and targeted policy and investment recommendations, with particular attention to energy security, EU decarbonisation objectives, and the energy transition.
